KiddieGAIT®

KiddieGAIT® yder en tidlig ortosebehandling i og med at de fås i Baby modeller fra ca 1 års alderen. Ankel Fod Ortosen (AFO) hjælper barnet med at få et mere jævnt og mere naturlig gangmønster. Ortosen hjælper barnet gennem svingfasen og kontrollere fodens bevægelse i flere plan gennem støttefasen. Skinnens placering på forsiden af tibia hjælper også til i forhold til andre proksimale problemer, såsom hyperekstension i knæet eller "Crouch" gang. KiddieGAIT® er beregnet til anvendelse i kombination med en individuel fodtilpasning for at kontrollere fodens position.

Anvendelsesområde

Dropfod. KiddieGAIT® er beregnet til at støtte ved dropfod, gangafvigelser efter proprioceptiv lidelse, ustabil gangart eller gang med lav tonus, tågang uden mellemfodskollaps, Crouch gang med lav tonus ved tilstand som spina bifida, cerebral parese og muskelsvind.

Kontraindikationer

Begrænset dorsalfleksion (behøver mindst +5 graders dorsalfleksion forbi neutral tilstand). Meget rigid struktur i foden. Spastiske quadriceps. Overdreven genu valgum eller genu varum fejlstilning. Fikseret/ikke-korrigerelig pes valgus- eller pes varus-fejlposition.
